Chuck Pacholkiw Memorial Fund Keeping Chuck's memory alive by promoting academic excellence! Chuck was extremely dedicated to his studies.

He was very passionate about physics, often engaging his family and friends in lengthy dialogues about the universe and how it all began and where it was going next. When it came to achieving his goals, he practiced a level of discipline that many people never exert. He was very close to graduating with a degree in Physics from the University of Maryland shortly before he passed away. His goal aft

er that was to go on to graduate school and work with NASA. Shortly before his passing, he had been applying for an internship with NASA and several grad schools were already sending letters expressing their interest that he continue his studies with them. He was an extremely brilliant person and would have gone far and changed the world with his knowledge. It is his family's goal to keep the memory of his hard work alive by establishing the Chuck Pacholkiw Memorial Scholarship Fund - to award a deserving local high-school student a scholarship so that he/she may go on to achieve the goals that Chuck had worked so hard to attain.

The first annual 5K Race to raise funds for the Chuck Pacholkiw Memorial Scholarship is on. All proceeds from this race will go to the Chuck Pacholkiw Memorial Scholarship, which, in turn, will be awarded to a deserving local high-school student who displays a passion for Math and/or Physics much in the same way that Chuck was.
