100 Entrepreneurs Project

100 Entrepreneurs Project 100 Entrepreneurs Project is a class currently held at Walter Reed Hospital, in the Military Advanced Training Center (MATC), every two weeks.

Guest speakers and presentations range across industries and business topics. The 100 Entrepreneurs Project was born from the ACE/Contractor’s College and Mentoring Program created by Bob Nilsson for soldiers and veterans recovering from serious injuries at Walter Reed Hospital. The original concept was to show the young men and women opportunities for creating 8(a) businesses and government contr

actor firms. Amanda Weathersby and Jodi Paci participated in the course over two years, and in the process heard back from the audience that they were interested in opening restaurants, creating an artificial eye company, opening a data storage and retrieval business, creating a camp for handicapped kids, and building a consulting firm to teach businesses how to accommodate the handicapped market (just to name a few of their ideas!)
Amanda and Jodi realized that the best way to “open the door” of possibilities for the participants would be to have a wide range of entrepreneurs provide information about starting and building a business in a variety of industries. Entrepreneurs and soldiers have one very strong similarity: Dedication. Amanda and Jodi are determined to interview 100 Entrepreneurs from all types of backgrounds and businesses to demonstrate the breadth of business opportunities available once the physical healing is done. As of March 2011, we have completed 80 interviews.
