'Books for a Library' was created on the simple idea that education is change. Education breaks cycle of poverty and provides children with the opportunity for a successful future. If we educate the children of our community, we give them the power to reach their goals. Education opens the doors of opportunity for children and provides them with the tools for a better future for them and their fa
milies. We strive to create and furnish libraries, promote literacy among low-income and at-risk children, and help fund library sustainability. We want to provide an accessible place for children to feel comfortable. Libraries are inviting and happy place for the children to learn and grow. Our first project, located in Mirones Bajo in Lima, Peru, will provide a wide range of Spanish language children’s books that include: history, science, short stories, fairy tales, books for young readers, dictionaries, reference books, encyclopedias and comic books.
'Books for a Library' is an organization that helps empower low-income and at-risk children through education. This goal will take an enormous amount of dedication and planning, and hard work. We need your help.
'Books for a Library' is working on becoming a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization, and all donations will be tax deductible in the US.
