Catholic Volunteer Network

Catholic Volunteer Network Where faith and service meet. OUR VISION
Through service rooted in faith, all will know the opportunity to impact the world and be transformed.

Since 1963, Catholic Volunteer Network has sought to bring together people who have a heart for service. Today, our community consists of volunteer program staff; volunteers and missioners (prospective, current, and former!); colleges and universities; dioceses and parishes; religious communities; lay groups; partner organizations; individuals who are champions for service; and a dedicated staff a

nd Board of Directors. Our foundation is built on the gospel and rooted in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. We strive to increase awareness of the opportunity to live out one’s faith in service to the poor, and actively work to remove any barriers that may prevent people from engaging in faith-based service. We welcome you to become a part of the CVN community.

At Pentecost, people from every nation heard the Good News in their own language.

The Holy Spirit did not erase difference, it was honored.

As we celebrate Pentecost, may we continue building communities rooted in dignity, listening, solidarity, and justice for all.

🔥 Come Holy Spirit!

Some moments meet us exactly where we are. In her reflection on the Rooted in Sacred Ground retreat, Celia Ceballos shares how stillness, place, and community helped her find her way back to herself. Her words are a gentle reminder that our stories, our histories, and the land we stand on all shape the sacred work we are called to do.
