Send an email to the Montgomery County Council to support my nomination as the County Council nominee to fill a vacancy on the Montgomery County Board of Investment Trustees (BIT). The BIT oversees the investments for the Montgomery County pension funds and the retiree health trusts.

This is right down my professional alley. I have spent a career working with collectively bargained and jointly managed benefit funds. I currently report to a Board of Trustees that manages the assets of the Transit Employees' Health & Welfare Fund to provide benefits to the 8,000 active and 4,000 retired members of ATU Local 689. I am leading an effort to create a retiree health trust for Local 689 members that needs to be in place by July 1, 2020.
I have the education, experience and values to represent the interest of the County and the County Council on these boards.
The $5.5 billion should not be invested in ways that undermine the stated goals of the county and the County Council. A portion can be prudently invested to support those goals.
