We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating pen pal connections for pediatric cancer fighters, survivors, and guardians.

Happy Pediatric Nurses Week to all the amazing nurses we know and love, especially the nurses at Children's National!

There is something so special about nurses who dedicate their lives to caring for kids. We are so grateful for all that you do to care for, encourage, and bring joy and laughter to kids fighting cancer!

Come with us to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Go Gold Festival! 🎗️

It was our third year at PMCH’s Go Gold Festival, and it never disappoints!

We’re so thankful for our partnership with PMCH and for the opportunity to support kids fighting cancer together!

We had a blast at this year’s Go Gold Festival celebrating Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Thank you to our LTI volunteers for bringing awareness to childhood cancer and sharing the mission of Letters to Isabel! 🎗️

Our volunteers had the best time at Riley Children's Health meeting patients and making keychains together!

We love getting to bring Letters to Isabel directly to kids in the hospital and show them that there are other kids out there who understand what it’s like to have cancer! 🎗️

Everyone, meet Gabby! 🌟

Gabby bravely fought Ewing sarcoma, and since May gabby guzie has been cancer free!!! She wanted to share, “My life has changed in so many ways, and I’m so grateful for where I am today. I’m always here to support, listen, or help whoever I can.”

Now, Gabby wants our Club to know that if any of our teen pen pals ever want to connect, need someone to talk to, or just want someone who understands, she’s here for you.

Say hi to Lily! 👋🏼

Lily is 3 years old and currently undergoing treatment for B-cell ALL. She’s a spitfire who marches to the beat of her own drum and is often called “the boss” on her oncology unit!

This is what childhood cancer looks like.

Childhood cancer can take a child’s hair. Their freedom. Their sense of normalcy. But it shouldn’t take away their childhood.

This September, we remind you that kids deserve more.

They deserve more than 4% of federal cancer research funding. They deserve treatments made specifically for children. They deserve recognition for the strength it takes to fight cancer as a kid. They deserve more friends who understand.

Childhood cancer shouldn’t have to impact you personally for you to care.

It should matter to all of us! 🎗️

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!🎗️

Wear your gold and raise awareness for the kids and teens fighting cancer, those who have finished treatment, and honor those we’ve lost.

If you’re in the thick of treatment, you’ve got this. If you’re counting down the days to being cancer-free, we are cheering you on. If you’re figuring out your new normal in remission, your past is not overlooked. And if you are navigating loss, we recognize your pain and grief.

Childhood cancer leaves a lasting and heavy mark. Too often, you can feel alone, forgotten, and misunderstood. Our team is committed to providing you and your family connection and friendship so that doesn’t happen, this month and every month to follow.

Celebrating our 10th hospital partnership with Inova Peterson Life with Cancer! 🌟

We are especially excited about this partnership because we get to work with the amazing Lindsey Wamsley MA, LPC!

Lindsey currently works alongside the incredible team at INOVA Peterson Life with Cancer as a pediatric behavioral health therapist, parent advisory team leader, and counseling supervisor.

In 2019 Lindsey joined the “best-worst” club of childhood cancer caregivers when her three-year-old daughter was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After surviving—not thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic her three children, husband, dog, and two cats can all be found living every day to its fullest and appreciating the little things like not sleeping on a hospital couch.
