Introducing a new segment: Moms We Admire 🤍
We are a collaborative community here of moms, and we want to highlight the women navigating motherhood with honesty, resilience, humor, and heart.
We are starting with the incredible, kind, and super supportive , founder of The Fit Doula which empowers women through motherhood, birth, fitness, and community.
✨ What does this season of motherhood look like for you right now?
This season has been chaotic in both hard and magical ways. I’ve learned so much about myself, my resilience, and how to find grounding through change.
I’ve navigated divorce, co-parenting between two homes in the DMV, and building a new community in Nashville while evolving my life and business to reflect this chapter.
It hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has reminded me to find peace in the stillness and joy in the little things.
✨ What is one small daily ritual or moment that brings you joy?
A daily ritual sounds beautiful… and not at all like my life right now hah! No two days are the same. But give me school pickup, a slow weekend with my kids, a coffee, and I’m genuinely happy.
✨ What’s something you’ve learned about yourself through motherhood?
That I’m far more powerful and far less breakable than I was taught to believe.
After becoming a mom, I walked away from a career where I was mistreated and started my own business supporting women. Motherhood didn’t end me, it made me more discerning, resilient, and expansive.
✨What is one thing you wish more people understood about moms today?
We are not meant to do this alone. Modern motherhood has replaced the village with pressure and isolation.
Moms are carrying invisible emotional, mental, and logistical loads every day. We don’t need more advice, we need real support.
✨ What’s one piece of advice or encouragement you’d give to another mom in our community?
Motherhood should not require self-abandonment. You’re allowed to evolve, rebuild, and honor your own needs too.
Your kids are better off watching you fully live than watching you disappear. The woman within the mother still deserves to be heard.
