BIA is a community organization that provides food and other assistance to residents of CT Brotherhood In Action of Bethel, Inc.

is a local, all-volunteer, federally recognized non-profit organization. Since 1980 we have been providing food, rent, and utilities assistance, as well as other forms of financial assistance, to those in need who reside in the town of Bethel, Connecticut. We collect and purchase food to be distributed to Bethel individuals and families in need at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Throughout the year, we respond to requests for help as needed. We provide food on a continual basis to the Bethel Community Food Pantry, which also serves the people of Bethel, and on occasion provide one-time support to organizations in surrounding towns that are in particular need.

Please mark this date on your calendars Saturday May 9. It’s our largest source of food in the year by far. Our letter carriers do a tremendous job gathering your donations.
Remind your family, friends, and neighbors to leave a bag of nonperishable food by their mailbox on Saturday, May 9 and their letter carrier will handle the rest! Remember - all food that the carriers collect in Bethel this Saturday comes to BIA! It's our largest collection of the year, please be generous. And if you see your carrier, please be sure to thank them for their efforts! Thank you.
