WCSU Rotaract Club We are a community service organization geared towards making a difference one event at a time :)

The Rotaract Club at Western Connecticut State University is part of an internationally recognized service group with a motto of “Service Above Self.” They work closely with local Rotary Clubs to develop projects that benefits communities in a meaningful way. Rotaract is a club that places emphasis on community service at both the local and international levels. This group is also a place to develop leadership skills, network, develop professional skills and have fun with other students!

Hello everyone! Our first meeting of the Spring 2020 semester will be happening on Thursday, 1/30, at 5:30PM at the Midtown Student Center 209! We will be giving an introduction of the club and going into detail about the meetings and events we have planned for this semester! Hope to see you there!

Due to unfortunate circumstances, Rotaract’s Krispy Kreme Fundraiser is cancelled tomorrow. We are sad to hear this as well, but not all hope is gone! The fundraiser will be postponed to a later date, so stay tuned!

The Rotaract Club will be selling Krispy Kreme Donuts this coming Monday, 11/25. Be sure to stop by at the Midtown Student Center Libby between 12PM-3PM to pick up a dozen donuts!

Rotaract is hosting a mission trip to Bangladesh during Spring Break 2020! The purpose of this trip is to spend time with people suffering from facial cleft deformities. If you meet the guidelines of being an official Rotaract member, you may receive discounted rates on the trip as well from our club’s funding.

There will be two interest meetings regarding this trip on October 28th at 6:30PM and November 1st at 4:30PM, both in SC 209.

Rotaract is back with their biweekly meetings doing PB&J sandwiches once again! Our members had a great time making these sandwiches for the Dorothy Day Hospitality House in Danbury, CT.
Throughout the Fall 2019 semester, Rotaract will continue providing new volunteer opportunities and also fun meetings to help out the local community.

This last year for Rotaract was an absolute success!
From making PB&J for YMCA children, to creating Christmas cards for veterans, to making animal blankets for local animal shelters, to volunteering at a horse rescue foundation, we tried our very best to get our hands everywhere!
We are extremely humbled to have opportunities to give back to our community. It is an honor to know that we are making a difference somewhere, no matter how big or small.
Our Eboard would like to give a HUGE thanks to our members. Without you, WCSU Rotaract would cease to exist. So THANK YOU.
Let’s get ready for another semester full of awesomeness and giving back! We hope to see you very soon.

As our WCSU resident students are cleaning out their rooms, and our commuter students are Spring Cleaning their houses, remember to keep this flyer in mind! Rotaract is accepting donations of gently used toys or clothes that will be sent to an orphanage in Bulgaria. This is your chance to make a difference in someone’s life, all you have to do is drop the items off at one of the boxes on campus (refer to flyer) while your are preparing to move out or neaten up. If you have any questions, please DM us!
