Empower Youth

It's a beautiful thing to see our community come together to support one another, especially when it comes to our kiddos!❤️
Last Thursday, Brooke Nazadi and her team from Batavia schools worked the tables and put together an amazing raffle basket with the help of our generous local businesses. Together, they raised over $470!
These funds will help provide more than 117 food packs for students, giving them a little extra food to get through the weekend and helping ensure they return on Monday ready to learn, grow, and take on the lessons ahead. We are so grateful for Brooke, her team, our local businesses, and everyone who helped make this possible. It's moments like these that remind us how special our community truly is when we come together to care for our kids.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support!💙

In Memory of Michael Dean Turner
Michael dedicated much of his life to serving and protecting others. He proudly served 20 years with the Highland County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff and five years with Lynchburg-Clay Schools as a School Resource Officer. He later continued serving our community as a manager with Crosswell Bus.
Michael also made an incredible impact on Empower Youth. As one of the leaders of the Lynchburg Mafia Car Club, he helped raise more than $30,000, providing over 7,500 weekend food packs to local students in need. His generosity helped make sure children had food to get through the weekend and could return to school Monday ready to learn.
His loss will be deeply felt throughout our community. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with Sandy Turner, Rylee, Cole, Calvin, Katrina, and all of Michael’s family and friends.
Please know that you are surrounded by a community that is grieving with you and holding you close in our hearts.

Blessings and love to the Turner family. ❤️

Hey folks!
We are so fortunate to have such wonderful partnerships with our local schools. Without their support, we simply could not reach and serve the many students who need that little bit of extra help that can make such a big difference.
Ms. Brooke and her team at Batavia Schools are putting together a fundraiser to help us continue our programs and further our mission of supporting students in our community.
If you are able, please consider supporting their efforts. We are incredibly grateful for the time, hard work, and dedication they are putting into this fundraiser, as well as for the local businesses and community members who are stepping up to support their efforts.
Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference for our area students. ❤️
Thank you for your support!
