If God can do it for Peter... how much more can He do it for us?Peter denied Jesus three times, yet God chose him to lead the very first altar call. 3,000 souls changed in a single day.

If God can take a man who turned his back and turn him into a leader of the Church, what can He do with your story? Your mistakes don’t disqualify you—they’re the starting point for His grace.

Congratulations to Matt and Sammy (not pictured) on graduating from the Heartland Men's Recovery Program. Matt graduated HMRP in 2024 but relapsed. He called for help and worked through the shame, realizing Jesus was there waiting for him. Yesterday he testified, "For anyone who is struggling, and for all who don't think they are good enough, when you're down or even in life when it feel like everything is against you, I know One that can...He is Lord. He is the only way. Nothing else matters but God."

If you've slipped or fallen, be encouraged today that the Lord is here for you too. "The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down." -Ps. 146:8

Why You Can’t "Just Get Over" Trauma Dr. Eryka explains the science behind trauma and why our brains stay stuck in "alarm mode." She breaks down how the amygdala acts like a fire alarm that won't shut off, and why simple logic isn't enough to fix it. To calm the system down, you need the "fire department"—which in this case, is human connection. It’s a fascinating look at why a support system is a biological necessity for healing.

Why Success Starts Before the Gates Open -entry Lydia explains why successful re-entry has to start long before a release date. For her, it wasn't just about having a plan, but about building trusted relationships while she was still on the inside. She shares how Broken and Beautiful provided the "method" and the support system she needed to transition back into society with the right tools for success.

Right now, there are men applying to the Heartland men's program, ready to take the next step in their recovery, and we're almost ready for them. We are nearly at capacity, which is a testament to the trust people have placed in this work.

To open more bedrooms and welcome more men, we need to finish furnishing those rooms. Thanks to a special partnership with Brown's Furniture, we can purchase the dressers we need for just $1,200 each. That's a dresser, a room, and a real chance at a new beginning for a man who needs it.

It might seem like a small thing—a place to put a few folded shirts, some personal belongings, a little piece of dignity. But for someone rebuilding their life from the ground up, having a space that is truly theirs makes all the difference in the world.

Will you help us open the next door?
→ $200 funds a drawer
→ $600 gets us halfway to a full dresser
→ $1,200 adds a dresser to a room for a man in need

If you can help with a gift in any amount, use this link to give online and write "dresser" in the donation note. https://giving.myamplify.io//app/giving/eGiving-133939

Thank you! Every gift moves us closer to welcoming the next person who's ready for a fresh start.

The Heartland Recovery Women's Home hosted missions guests for a Saturday morning brunch again this year. The ladies (along with Scott making his famous biscuits & gravy) prepared food and enjoyed visiting with these long-time friends from around the world. It was a great way to start off MCon26, and a valuable opportunity for the ladies to practice hospitality.

Helping others find success out of Prison Dave shares the raw, heartbreaking moment that led him to quit his job and commit to re-entry ministry full-time. After a former inmate relapsed because she felt isolated and rejected by the community—even in church—he realized that having a "plan" isn't enough without a support system. There is an urgent need for transition houses and organizations to partner together to ensure no one has to walk the path of recovery alone.
