Fall Teen Networking Nights are BACK!

And we’re kicking things off by putting drone technology directly into students’ hands.

On September 24, teens will have the chance to fly small drones, complete a hands-on challenge, meet professionals, and explore how drone technology is used in real careers.

Leading the experience will be Daytona Lynn and Cole Brooks from Fine Line Inspections LLC, with Blake volunteering alongside us. And check out that incredible aerial photo captured by Blake himself!

But Teen Networking Nights is about more than one activity.

It’s a place for teens to try something new, meet people they might never otherwise meet, build confidence, explore careers, and make connections that can open doors.

No experience needed. Just show up ready to explore.

A leadership lesson I’ve learned along the way: emotional regulation is not emotional suppression.

I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I care deeply. I’m vulnerable. And yes, I’ve had to learn how to regulate those emotions without losing them.

Some may see vulnerability as weakness. I’ve learned it’s actually one of my superpowers. It’s how I connect with people.

The goal was never to feel less. It was to lead myself better. 🙌❤️🎉

Starting tomorrow at Page's Dairy Mart, we’re kicking off the fall stretch of the Period Zero Food Truck Fundraiser Series with 12 raffle baskets packed with some seriously fun prizes.

There is something special about back-to-school season.

For students, it is a new chapter filled with excitement, new classrooms, new friendships, and new possibilities.

For educators, it can be bittersweet. Some are preparing to welcome another class, while others are experiencing their first year not returning after dedicating so much of their lives to students.

I understand that feeling. I still miss the excitement of the first day, the students, and watching them discover what they are capable of.

So from all of us at Period Zero, we wish every student, educator, school staff member, and family a safe, happy, and successful school year.

And to the educators who are not returning this year: your impact did not end when you left the classroom. Your students carry it forward.
