A new book has just been published by the Harrison County Genealogy Library. It is softbound, spiral bound book titled “181 Years (more or less) of Harrison County. This book covers towns from all Harrison County. Some no longer exist and some are still here. The books is very large and weighs 4 ½ pounds. These will be selling for $70.00. If you would like a copy, contact the library online or by phone at (660) 425-2459. Get your name in some if you would like a copy of this new and interesting book.

Our first meeting of 2026 will be held on March 12 at 6 p.m. Program will be Harrison County Community Hospital update.

The Genealogy Library has reopened for 2026. Our hours are Tuesday 8-2, Thursday 8-2 and Saturday 1-3. It is good to be back. Stop in and see us!!!!!

We had a great meeting on November 30, 2025. Tammy Lane from the Senior Center gave a great talk and insight into what is going on with the Senior Center. We also reviewed donations from Virginia Thomas, Teresa Kent, BTC, Harrison County Historical Society, Family of Leah (Meyer) Hall and Norma Ravnsborg. Officers were elected for 2026. President, Terry Daniel; Vice President, John Taraba; Secretary, Pat Lambert; Treasurer, Linda Daniel; Membership, Linda Sanders; and Librarian, Jean Myers. Meeting dates were changed for 2026 to every 2 months staring with March. We will be closing for the winter on November 25. See you all in March 2026.
