Bessemer 4th of July Committee Meeting

The next Bessemer 4th of July Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, at 4:45 PM at Uncle Sam's Place.

This meeting includes our annual election of officers, and all officer positions are open to anyone interested in helping lead one of our community's favorite traditions. We're especially looking to fill the Vice Chairman position, which has been vacant for much of the past year.

We hope to see both familiar faces and new volunteers. If you've ever wanted to get more involved, now is a great time! Fresh ideas and new volunteers help keep Bessemer Blast strong for years to come.

Event chairs are encouraged to attend and cast their vote.

These winners did not miss out at this year's Golf at Massie Field event!

The prizes were amazing and 100% donated by the Ashe Family, who started and continues to run this awesome event.

Keep this on your list for next year. It only takes 10-15 minutes of your time to participate. So much fun!!

Congratulations to our lucky winner of $69,377!!

The winner of the 2026 Bessemer 4th of July 50/50 Raffle, a resident of Wakefield, requested to remain anonymous to the public. After reviewing Michigan charitable gaming regulations, consulting with our Michigan Charitable Gaming Division inspector, and obtaining legal guidance, Bessemer 4th of July, Inc. will honor that request. While our preference has always been to publicly announce raffle winners, as we have done in previous years, we will respect the winner's desire for privacy.

Thank you to everyone who supported the 2026 Raffle and attended or participated in one or more of the many events that made Bessemer Blast such a success. None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication of more than 100 volunteers who generously give their holiday time—whether a few hours or several days—to create such a diverse and memorable celebration for our community. When you see our volunteers around town, please take a moment to thank them.

Planning has already started for Bessemer Blast 2027. We can’t wait to see you again!
