300 jackets. 300 kids. One community.

Anchor Church Berwyn is giving away 300 winter jackets to kids in Berwyn, Cicero, and surrounding communities on November 15, and we need your help!
Drop off new or gently used kids' jackets (sizes 5T to 18/20) any Sunday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM through November 8 at 1529 S. Harlem Ave., Berwyn.

No child should face a Chicago winter without a coat. So please clean out that closet and help us show our neighbors the love of Christ!

Over 12 weeks we're walking through the basics of the Christian faith: who God is, what the Bible says, who Jesus is, and what it means to follow Him. So whether you've been a believer for years or you're just asking questions, this study is built to give you a faith that holds when life gets rough.
Did you miss the first two weeks?... Come anyway. Bring a friend, grab a coffee, and lets go!

Can you believe it?!

Anchor Church Berwyn just gave away over 1,000 pounds of food to families in Berwyn and Cicero last Sunday! And we did it because Jesus fed the hungry, and we pray that every family we served saw the love of Christ in a real way!....

And we're not stopping there because on November 15, our goal is to give away 300 jackets to children in our community, so no child faces a Chicago winter without a coat.

And you can help!
Bring new or gently used kids' jackets (sizes 5T to 18/20) to church every Sunday between now and November 8th.

And Pray for us as we keep serving our neighbors!

¡Anchor Church Berwyn acaba de regalar mas de 1,000 libras de comida a familias de Berwyn y Cicero el Domingo pasado! Y Lo hicimos porque Jesús alimentó al hambriento, y oramos que cada familia haya visto el amor de Cristo de una manera real!
Y no nos detenemos ahí, porque el 15 de Noviembre,quieremos regalaremos 300 chaquetas a niños de nuestra comunidad, para que ningún niño enfrente el invierno de Chicago sin abrigo.

Wake Up.
Today I attended a wake here in Berwyn for a beautiful 7-year-old girl who was killed by violence on the streets of Chicago. And few things in life are harder than losing a beautiful baby in such a tragic way.
But I left with one word on my heart: Wake up. Friends life isn't promised, not at 70 and not at 7. But Jesus died for sinners and rose again, and whoever trusts in Him the Bible says will be saved. So turn to Him today! And if you already know Him, tell someone the truth of what you have found.....
Please pray for this family and for our cities.

Hoy asistí a un velorio aquí en Berwyn por una hermosa niña de 7 años que perdió la vida por la violencia en las calles de Chicago. Pocas cosas en la vida son más duras que perder a una bebé tan hermosa.
Pero salí con una palabra en mi corazón: Despierta. Amigos, la vida no está garantizada, ni a los 70 ni a los 7. Pero Jesús murió por los pecadores y resucitó, y la Biblia dice que todo el que confía en Él será salvo. ¡Así que vuélvete a Él hoy! Y si ya lo conoces, cuéntale a alguien la verdad de lo que has encontrado...

FREE FOOD THIS SUNDAY. No questions asked.

Life can be hard, and sometimes we all need a little help. This Sunday, October 11th, from 9:30AM–12PM
Anchor Church Berwyn is giving away free boxes of food to families in our community.

In just our first year, we've given away thousands of pounds of food, hundreds of backpacks full of school supplies, and winter coats to families right here in our community. And all along the way, we've shared the hope of Jesus with neighbors who didn't know Him yet!

So if you or someone you know could use a little help, come by. No questions asked, no strings attached. Just come by...

La vida puede ser difícil, y a veces todos necesitamos un poco de ayuda. Este domingo, 11 de octubre, de 930AM a 12PM, Anchor Church Berwyn estará regalando cajas de comida gratis a las familias de nuestra comunidad.

En solo nuestro primer año, hemos regalado miles de libras de comida, cientos de mochilas llenas de útiles escolares y abrigos de invierno a familias aquí mismo en nuestra comunidad.Y en el camino, hemos compartido la esperanza de Jesús con vecinos que todavía no lo conocian.

Entonces si tú o alguien que conoces necesita un poco de ayuda, ven. Sin preguntas, sin compromisos. Solo ven tal como eres.

Anchor Español inicia su primera serie: "Juan: Para que creas". Semana tras semana vamos a recorrer juntos el libro que nos presenta a Jesús.
Juan nos dice exactamente por qué lo escribió: "Pero éstas se han escrito para que creáis que Jesús es el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, y para que creyendo, tengáis vida en su nombre."

Y es el momento perfecto para empezar. Ya sea que sigas a Jesús desde hace años o que apenas tengas curiosidad, aquí hay un lugar para ti.
