That’s a wrap! Thank you to club presidents Karin and Yari, the Berwyn and Windy City Lions Clubs, and everyone who came out to make the 10th annual joint period party a wonderful success! Thank you to our panelists from Sarah's Inn, the Westchester Food Pantry, and Youth Crossroads, Inc. for your collaboration and for shining a light on period poverty and role we all have to play in destigmatizing this topic, which has ripple effects locally and globally.

We are excited to have Amanda Grant, executive director of as one of our panelists this Sunday 1pm at Period Party 2026 please come out and learn about how period poverty is impacting our neighbors and support the period production collection!

We're excited to welcome Amanda Grant as a guest panelist Period Party 2026. She is the Executive Director of Westchester Food Pantry serving more than 500 households a month in 8 west suburb communities. They are one of the beneficiaries of our Period Product collection this year. For many individuals a period can dictate where they can go, what they can do. Our Period Party is three weeks from today. Join us on Sunday March 8th from 1-3 as we raise awareness, educate and advocate to break the cycle of period poverty. Participate in our menstrual hygiene product collection to benefit local youth, women shelters, and the unhoused so they get basic necessities they need. When the community is in need, we ROAR!

A HUGE thank you to the many, many community members who donated canned goods to our meal in a bag drive today, and who helped bag meal in a bag kits for our community!

We put together 50 bagged meal kits and donated quite a few other canned goods to the little free pantries and grocery delivery organizations throughout our community today.

But our work is not done. Stay tuned for an upcoming planning meeting, and other volunteer events this year!

Today is Period Action Day and we’re raising awareness about menstrual equity and reminding everyone that our Period Party will return on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2026! 🎉

Join us as we collect menstrual supplies to support those in need right here in the Berwyn community. Every donation helps ensure that no one has to miss school or work because of their period. ❤️
