The Timothy School

The Timothy School The Timothy School was established in 1966 as a non-profit school for children with autism.

We are the oldest, non-profit school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to the educational needs of children with this disability. From a church school with nine children, six teachers, and many volunteers, the school has grown into a model program emphasizing Structured Teaching, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Positive Behavioral Supports as core components of the instructional program. Each day

, sixty-four children, ages five to eighteen, come to our school from twenty-seven school districts located in five counties within the southeastern region of Pennsylvania. Each year, we conduct orientation programs for resident physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other professional to further their understanding of the autism diagnosis and what this means for children and their families. We provide community service opportunities for students from local elementary and secondary schools who volunteer to work with our students. We also provide pre-service opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students from six colleges and universities. Visitors have come to see our school from as far as Denbighshire, UK, Modbury, Australia, and Tanzania, Africa.

🎉 Congratulations to The Timothy School Class of 2026! 🎓

Students, families, faculty and staff came together to celebrate three graduates and all they have accomplished during their time at The Timothy School.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was a special graduation video that reflected on each student's growth and the many memories shared over the years.

We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and honored to celebrate this milestone with them and their families.

One of the things that makes Community Day truly special? Our alumni come home!

This year The Timothy School Alumni Association hosted a Photo Booth -- it was a HUGE HIT! From co****le on the lawn to striking a pose with the photo booth props, seeing former students back on campus laughing, enjoying time with their friends, sharing memories with teachers and staff, is one of the highlights of the day. 💙💚

The Timothy School was filled with smiles and laughter as students, families, alumni, volunteers, neighbors and organizations came together for our annual Community Day!

From games, inflatables and face painting to food, raffles and community spirit, it was a wonderful day of connection and celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us.💙💚
