Here's the thing about this situation. There has never been a situation like this ever in our area. Yes, there's been fires & floods causing disbursements. But key difference for most is insurances, quick red cross money, plus other support. This situation, none of these people get any of that. There is no free for them as someone kept saying. It's a cot placed in a communal space. With steady case management. Oh, yeah they're getting food, too. 🤔

With that said, I love being part of this team. Since doing the 1st Berwick Code Blue till now. Karla - Agape, Krunal - The Gate House PA, & myself Frank - B.A.T.S.. I believe we can do so much together. And like I said above. This type of situation has never been dealt with before by any of us. Especially, if you know all the details. That I can't say!

But as of tonight 21 people here at the moment. Some the motel guests hopped to another hotel. But there stay is over bt Friday. And that will push us to 35 +/- not 100% sure. But we are prepared. Oh yeah, plus their pets next door.

And the overall support from all the agencies is amazing. We have had Geisinger medics here so far every day a full shift plus. And they've been busy.

The Salvation Army both Bloomsburg & Berwick helping us get the people here. Serving dinners, etc. And helping with some case management, etc.

Emily the Bloomsburg YMCA here today some. And returningbto help prep medical insurance docs, etc. God I love her. As I hate & suck at that paperwork.

And have to give Montour County a massive shout out. I don't think I've ever seen a County step up as they have. From providing the space, over head, and so much more. To stopping in reviewing & checking in. I am impressed is all I can say.

Carin - Good Sam for everything. And taking over the volunteer efforts. So please reach out to them.

Sadly, I know I am missing someone. Sorry, this post was a whim. And I might be a little tired. But the combined efforts of multiple agencies is amazing. Thank ya all.
