It's been awhile since we have posted last. Our train shed is currently being repaired. The roof has been fixed along with construction of new doors. Any contractors out there willing to donate some time to help the cause? We are working on details on raising the track above grade and replacing the railroad ties to the new regulations. A tremendous THANK YOU goes to Tri County Lumber of Berwick for their donation of materials and supplies to help us make repairs to the "Train Shed" on our carnival grounds!

All aboard!!! We started off roaring down the tracks... With proceeds from the "Save the train" car show and your generous GoFundMe donations we should be able to start raising the track to meet new ride guidelines. The project will consist of pulling all of the railroad spikes and ties. Then we need to purchase stone to bring the new ties up to grade and infill with more stone. This will be a very big project for us but we feel the train will then live on for hopefully generations to come. The track itself is phase one of the project. The next phase will consist of building a fence around the track and repairing the train shed. Once those repairs are done the train will be repainted. If funding continues and allows it we will also turn the old donut stand into a train station!!! Thank you all for donating! We really appreciate it.

We're still struggling to build up steam with our fundraising efforts for this project. A HUGE thanks to everyone who's contributed so far, especially to the Northeast Cruisers Car Club, the Berwick Lions and all of the vendors for the awesome Car Show last weekend to support this cause.

We here at Salem Township Fire are incredibly humbled by the "word on the street" surrounding this fundraiser, but we still need everyone's help. Please share this page, contribute to our GoFundMe if able and lets get our Train back on track! 🚂

Many of you noticed something missing this year at the Annual Salem Township Volunteer Fire Co.'s Beach Haven Carnival... something that many of us have grown up with over the last 40+ years and sadly that is our Ride on Train attraction at the carnival grounds. We unfortunately made the tough choice of having it remain idle this year while we figure out it's future with us.

Repairs and maintenance due to available funding have sidelined this popular Carnival attraction.

We are reaching out with a Go Fund Me to help restore our train!
