A reminder that our Summer Food Distribution Program begins Monday, June 15!

Berwick Area School District families can receive FREE food every Monday from 12:00 PM–1:00 PM at West Berwick Elementary School through August 3 (no distribution June 29).

Thank you to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Berwick Area School District, and the Community Giving Foundation for making this program possible!

🎓 Congratulations to Our Berwick Youth Action Board Class of 2026 Seniors! 🎓

Today, we celebrate three outstanding young leaders whose dedication, service, and leadership have helped make a lasting impact on the Youth Action Board and our community. Through countless hours of volunteering, planning, leading, and giving back, they have helped strengthen our programs and inspire those around them.

As they prepare to begin the next chapter of their lives, we want to thank them for the time, passion, and commitment they have invested in making a difference. While we will miss their leadership and presence on the board, we are excited to see all they will accomplish in the years ahead.

Please join us in congratulating Caden, Keely, and Ellie on their graduation and wishing them continued success in all their future endeavors. We are so proud of you! ❤️🎓

The first banners in our Hometown Hero Banner initiative, in partnership with Berwick Borough, have officially been completed and hung throughout the community! 🇺🇸

We’ll be highlighting and sharing the stories of these incredible heroes as we go, so be sure to keep an eye out around town and on our page as we honor those who have served.

Recently, we proudly installed the Hometown Hero banner honoring Barbara Dupras and her service in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

A proud graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1952, Barbara answered the call to serve her country during a pivotal time in history. Her dedication and commitment reflect the courage and strength shown by so many members of the Greatest Generation.

Barbara’s service in the U.S. Navy stands as a reminder of the important role women played in supporting and defending our nation during the Korean Conflict. We are honored to recognize her contributions and celebrate her legacy as one of our community’s Hometown Heroes.

Thank you, Barbara Dupras, for your service and sacrifice. Your hometown is proud to honor you.

Summer is here! ☀️ Today is the last day the Berwick Teen Center will be open for this week as we gear up for our summer programming!

Starting June 9th, the center will be open Tuesday–Thursday from 11 AM–3 PM. We have lots of fun things planned and can’t wait to kick off another great summer with all of you!

Stay tuned for special field trips and events throughout the summer!

Our Summer Food Distribution Program is back for another year!

We are proud to partner with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Berwick Area School District, and receive support from the Community Giving Foundation to provide FREE food to Berwick Area School District families throughout the summer.

Families can receive items such as fresh produce, milk, meat, and other nutritious foods every Monday from June 15 through August 3 at West Berwick Elementary School(no distribution on June 29).

Distribution Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Distribution will not begin before 12:00 PM.

We look forward to helping ensure local families have access to healthy food all summer long!

Today we proudly installed the Hometown Hero banner honoring David H. Dietterick, Army CW2, in our community. 🇺🇸

Drafted into the United States Army at just 18 years old in 1953, David H. Dietterick dedicated 20 years of service to his country before retiring in 1973. During his military career, he earned numerous honors and awards recognizing his dedication, leadership, and sacrifice.

His commendations include the Bronze Star with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Occupation of Germany Medal, Vietnam Unit Award, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Good Conduct Medal 4th Award, and the National Defense Service Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster.

We are honored to recognize and remember CW2 David H. Dietterick for his years of service and commitment to our nation. Thank you for your sacrifice and for representing the strength and pride of our hometown.

Last night, all three Youth Action Boards from Berwick, Benton, and Bloomsburg came together to celebrate an incredible year and honor our 8 amazing seniors! We shared YAB superlatives and senior gifts! We were also proud to have our Youth Action Board Alumni Association award three scholarships to graduating seniors. So grateful for the memories, leadership, and impact these students have made on our community!💚🧡💙

We had a great time at the volunteer fair hosted by Webstaurant for their employees! We loved getting the chance to meet so many new people and share more about our Teen Centers, the programs and opportunities we offer, and the amazing work our Youth Action Boards are doing in the community.
