We had a great time volunteering at the Stuart Tank Memorial Association’s World War II Weekend alongside members of the Berwick Youth Action Board!

This has become one of our favorite events each year. It’s always a fun way to give back, connect with the community, and spend time serving alongside the next generation of leaders. We love opportunities like this that bring YAB members and alumni together.

The Youth Action Board Alumni Association is proud to announce the first scholarships awarded through the Youth Action Board Alumni Association Fund established in partnership with the Community Giving Foundation.

This milestone represents something much bigger than financial support. It represents a commitment to investing in the next generation of young leaders and continuing the legacy of service that began through the Youth Action Board.

As Clara Smith, President of the Youth Action Board Alumni Association, shared:

"Seeing these scholarships awarded is incredibly meaningful because it represents the full circle of the Youth Action Board experience. Many of us were once students who benefited from the support, mentorship, and opportunities provided through the Youth Action Board. Creating this fund allows us to invest in the next generation of leaders and continue the legacy of service that shaped our own lives."

Congratulations to this year's recipients: Caden Getty, Amaro Galliani, and Malaia Hart. Each has demonstrated a commitment to leadership, service, and making a positive impact in their communities.

For recipient Amaro Galliani, the scholarship serves as a reminder of the impact the program has had on his journey:

"Receiving this scholarship made me feel deeply valued for my years of involvement with the Youth Action Board. It is meaningful to be recognized by a program that has played such an important role in my growth and experiences."

We are honored to support these outstanding young leaders as they pursue their next chapter and look forward to seeing the impact they continue to make.

Last night, our Youth Action Board Alumni Association had the opportunity to celebrate alongside the Berwick, Benton, and Bloomsburg Youth Action Boards as they wrapped up another incredible year and honored 8 amazing seniors! We were proud to award scholarships to graduating seniors and celebrate all they have accomplished. We are so proud of each of them and cannot wait to see what the future holds!

A message from Danielle and the FTC board:

As Raise the Region wraps up, we want to shine a huge spotlight on someone truly extraordinary: Kaite, our incredible marketing coordinator and so much more!

Kaite’s journey with us began on the Youth Action Board in high school, and she’s continued to give back through the YAB Alumni Association, as a program coordinator at the Teen Centers during her college breaks, and now in her role helping tell our story and connect with the community. She’s an absolute rockstar! Brilliant, creative, hardworking, and endlessly inspiring. The teens adore her, and it’s no wonder as she brings energy, joy, and heart to everything she does.

Kaite isn’t just a team member, she’s a force for good in our community. Her dedication, passion, and talent make everything we do possible, and she leaves a positive mark on everyone she meets. We are endlessly grateful for her, and we couldn’t do what we do without her. 🫶🏼

This year, Kaite poured her heart into the Raise the Region campaign, working tirelessly behind the scenes to share our story, engage our community, and make the campaign a success. Her effort truly made a difference!
