A long-awaited moment for the Bowling family has finally come as the Berthoud Adaptive Park Project has been fully funded. The project, which broke ground May 29, surpassed its $1.6 million goal after an anonymous person donated $107,000.

We did it, together! The Bowling family partnership with Can'd Aid and Star Playgrounds has reached its fundraising goal for the Berthoud Adaptive Park Project.

While the final donation was made through the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, countless members of the community, local businesses, foundations and volunteers have contributed to the $1.6 million total raised to bring this project to fruition. A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting is currently scheduled for 2025, but community build days are expected to be announced early next spring for volunteers and neighbors to help construct playground equipment.

Seeing the Berthoud Adaptive Park Project fully funded is a dream come true. This park represents so much more than just a playground—it’s a place where kids like Miles, and all children, can play without limitations, together. We’re beyond grateful to the community, sponsors, and everyone who believed in this vision.
