Bertha-Hewitt Sports Boosters

Things have officially kicked off this last week at Bertha-Hewitt! Normally the first week of games we rest and play. This year we learn and play.

🏐 The girls VB traveled to Browerville and Battle Lake this week. Both going to 5 sets, all though we fell to Browerville the girls showed improvement in Battle Lake and pulled ahead for their first win.

🏈 Football hosted Black Duck this evening. We quickly took the ball down the field after a turnover from the Drakes and were the first on the scoreboard. But things turned around quickly and the Drakes answered back with two TD’s. Bears were able to get into the end zone once again in the second half but still fell short in the end with a score of 15-28

We are still excited about the future of the fall sports season.

Event #2 Sports Boosters Penny Auction.
With 💴 donations we purchase a lot of prizes for this event on top of donated or hand made prizes. It’s always fun to see what people come up with for donations.

Thank you to Star Bank for showcasing items for the past month and the Bertha Fire Dept for the use of your building.

We had people coming in shortly after 11 to see what we had and tickets selling before noon. The fire hall seemed to be pretty steady traffic all day long and we emptied several boxes of tickets.

On top of that we also did a split the pot.
$400 to the winner and $400 to the Boosters

Thank you all for showing up and making this a record year event and to our adult and student helpers to keep things moving along.

Event # 1 Sports Boosters Golf Tournament. We had 19 teams this year. It was a beautiful day to be on the course. Thank you to Whitetail Run for hosting us all, Pizza Ranch for lunch and to our helpers and golfers.
