Before and after.

We walked the Talus and View trails the other day, removed a couple of deadfalls, and checked things out. As you can see, we were joined by a neighbor.

The trails are good shape for this time of year. We do ask that you use discretion around wet areas to help keep erosion to a minimum. Thanks!

This is a little weird. It seem like it was just the other day that we hung the colored tags to mark the trails. We even left space for the trees to grow when we put the screws in place. Nature does not stand still!

The Charity Farm lot shows active winter deer bedding, where body heat melts snow down to the ground, typical of areas with good thermal cover. These spots are often on south/southwest slopes, providing warmth, with northern barriers (rocks/trees) offering wind protection and security.

Good to go! The marking of our new Land of the Giants Trail is completed in both directions with silver and blue-colored arrows. A lettered sign marks both entrances, which are located along the View Trail.

We are leaving the pink ribbons we used to design the trail in place for now until the trail bed becomes more obvious. Updates of maps are in the works.

We promised photos of Brandon, who developed the idea for our newest trail, Land of the Giants, and spent plenty of time with boots on the ground, helping to mark and refine the trail, hang trail markers, and make them more visible by removing branches and saplings. Many thanks, Brandon!
