This is my journey with Alzheimer's, told by my daughter πŸ’œ In August 2024 we started a non profit called β€˜Dancing for Memories’ and our mission is to help caregivers who are also on this journey. Our mission is to provide resources as well as financial assistance to those who selflessly care for others. We strive to enhance the well-being of caregivers through a strong network of support, educational programs and advocacy efforts, ensuring caregivers have the tools and encouragement needed to thrive. By fostering a culture of empathy and understanding, we aim to create a world where caregivers are recognized, valued, and equipped to continue their essential work with confidence and resilience.

π‘‡β„Žπ‘’ π‘£π‘–π‘‘π‘’π‘œ π‘‘β„Žπ‘Žπ‘‘ π‘ π‘‘π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘‘π‘’π‘‘ 𝑖𝑑 π‘Žπ‘™π‘™ πŸ’œ 4 years ago today, on 9/27/22. I had no idea that posting this video would be the beginning of something so much bigger.

It was the beginning of this community, the connections made and the caregiver support given (and received 🫢). It’s the charity we started (to date, Dancing For Memories, has provided $32,800 in support to caregivers and their families). My mom was always helping or trying to help someone so this would honestly blow her mind. She’d be so thrilled. It’s truly because of her that I rise up, even on the hardest days (thanks for showing me the way, mom)! And thank you to each and every one of you for supporting our mission! We’re just getting started πŸ’œ
