VFW Post 10732 Auxiliary - Berlin, CT VFW Post 10732 Auxiliary serves veterans, the military & their families in honor of sacrifices & commitment of all who served in Foreign Wars.

Membership is open to anyone (male/female) who has a close relative who served-including if grandparents served.

CALLING BERLIN VETERANS WITH PETS!
The Berlin VFW Auxiliary would first like to THANK our generous and patriotic citizens who helped make our recent "Vets Pets" food drive a HUGE success. Our process is to bring all the gatherings to the Newington Veterans facility where they are dispersed to Veterans who are challenged with caring for their pets. We have also reserved some items specifically for Berlin Veterans so if you are a veteran with a need for food for your pet (mostly dogs and cats) or YOU KNOW of a local veteran with a pet in need then MESSAGE the VFW Post 10732 Auxiliary or comment here and the VFW Auxiliary will contact you. Thanks again and let's make this holiday season a bit easier for our veterans with pets...

A HUGE thank you to the community for your support at the recent (11/8) "Vets Pets" food drive (helping Veterans feed their pets). The response was OVERWHELMING and reflects the support our veterans (and their best friends) have in town. All items gathered are brought to area Veterans outlets (like the Newington facility) where they are dispersed. Truly the generosity was inspiring...THANK YOU!

PLEASE READ: Imagine an older lonely veteran having to make the decision to feed themselves or their pets,...or having to give up their pets (their best friends) because they cannot afford pet food or care. As heart wrenching as this sounds - it is happening.

Help the Berlin VFW Auxiliary on Saturday, November 8 from 10-2 at Berlin Stop & Shop as we collect for this worthy cause (the VFW Auxiliary then works with the local Veterans Associations "Newington, Rocky Hill, etc" to alert veterans and distribute items). We will have these "Vets Pets" drives twice a year (Fall/Spring). This year Berlin High School students have graciously offered to partner with us. Let's make this a community effort - THANK YOU!

Some veterans need to choose between feeding themselves or their pets,...and some even have to give their pets away due to lack of funds (this is real). For some, their pet is all they have. Our community has generously donated to this worthy cause and we ask you again to consider helping this Saturday June 14 from 10-2 at the Berlin Stop & Shop for the Berlin VFW Auxiliary "Help Vets Feed Their Pets" pet food drive. Thank you to the community for your generous donations to helping area "Vets" feed their "Pets". We honor Veterans and for some their only companion and coping with loneliness is their pets (some even put feeding their pets before feeding themselves).
