Local 457 was chartered in 1972. We represent approximately 1100 working men and women in the Utility industry in CT.

General information
We administer and negotiate 15 different contracts. Our office is in Berlin, CT, where we have of staff of four working full-time; a Business Manager (John Fernandes), Assistant Business Manager (Keith Harris), Senior Administrator (Lisa) and Class A Administrator (Sarah). The office is open Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily for lunch. We also have 16 members serving as Assistant Business Agents on the various properties we represent along with 14 Chief Stewards and 62 Stewards. These members aid in the handling of grievances as well as representing the Local on various committees.
