Hi there!! This is Krista, founder of UH, and I am asking if you can to help surprise my sweet friend Madelynn. She is finishing 8th grade & will be having another hip surgery for her hip dysplasia soon! 😔 She’s having a Periacetabular Osteotomy (PAO) - her socket is too shallow and short and isn’t covering the femoral head the way it needs to. She has labral tears, but they think they can avoid an arthroscopy to reduce the amount of time being under. She will be at Children’s in Milwaukee for 3-6 days. She’ll be in a wheel chair for a minimum of 6 weeks, will proceed to a walker, and then crutches. No casting.
They also may be looking for a lift chair if anyone has leads, message us!
