Some pictures of the Post 84 color guard supporting the Memorial Day ceremonies at the Berkley War Memorial and at Post 374. I also want to say Thank You to Dennis (Padre Post 374) and Ike (Post 374 Cmdr.) that made it possible for Post 84 to play "Last Post" on Memorial Day, it was moving and a great tribute to the family and friends of Post 84, thank you to Tom Pierce (our bugler) for the Last Post rendition. Thank you to Kara Rasmussen, Kurt Brown and Tracey Bala the Post 84 color guard; John Rasmussen for Post 84 Bell Honors, John Davids for laying the wreath at the Post 374 Memorial.

Memorial Day Parade: Marchers meet on Main St. just south of Lincoln Ave at "position 10", please be there by 8:45 as the parade kicks off at 9am. Memorial ceremony following the parade at the RO War Memorial behind the library (all are welcome!).

All members, friends and family of Post 84 be sure to come to the RO Memorial Day Parade on Memorial Day 9am. There will be ceremonies at the RO Memorial (following the parade), Berkley Memorial 10:45 am and at Post 374 approximately 11:30. BBQ to follow. Come on out and join us for memorable and patriotic day.

Stacey Huber led a great team from Post 84 in cleaning and placing flags at the graves of our passed brothers and sisters from Post 84 at Oakview Cemetery RO. Great job guys and gals! Thank you to Stacey, Tracey, John, Judy, Kurt, Brad and Paul!

Come support the Canadian Legion’s fundraiser at the Gleason Hall at the Berkley American Legion this Friday!! I am headed to East Lansing for a conference so can’t attend!! It is a really great event!!

NOTICE: Due to the Memorial Day Ceremonies on the 25th, the May General Meeting has been moved to 19 May (Tuesday) at 6pm. Memorial Day: Post 84 will be marching in the Royal Oak Memorial Day parade, participating in the Ceremonies in Royal Oak, Berkley and at Post 374 (Color Guard, wreath laying, reading of names (passed men and women from military services of the United States, Canada, Great Britan and Commonwealth nations). All members of Post 84 are invited to join the Post participants in any and all Memorial Day activities.
