🎉 CAL BAA COMMUNITY — WE MADE HISTORY!

As far as we know the California Black Alumni Association is the ONLY alumni association that gifts scholars money at graduation — welcoming them into our alumni family the very moment they cross that stage. Not after. Not later. RIGHT THEN.

And this year we did it in a BIG way.

We are overjoyed to share that we successfully raised $20,000 through our Black Graduation Gift Campaign — and gifted over 200 Black scholars at UC Berkeley's Black Graduation Reception!

From undergraduate to master's to PhD graduates — every scholar was celebrated and honored by this community after they crossed that stage.
This victory belongs to ALL of you. Every dollar given, every post shared, every text sent — it mattered. And thanks to a generous anonymous donor who stepped up in our final 24 hours and matched every gift — we crossed the finish line together.

To our scholars — this community showed up for you. We will continue to carry you forward. Congratulations Class of 2026! 🎓💙💛
