More than 2,600 children in Kenya died from HIV-related causes this past year. Behind every number is a child who deserved more time, more care, more protection, and a future.
That is why Bee for Change matters.
On our 20-acre homestead in Kenya, something beautiful is growing alongside the grief and struggle. The land is becoming a living community of healing, learning, and possibility for women living with HIV and AIDS and for their children.
Fields of wheat have already been planted. Sunflowers now stretch toward the sky, planted intentionally to support our bee cultivation program. The bees will help pollinate the land, produce honey and income, and create sustainable pathways for families to survive and thrive.
At Northern Light School, the children are deeply involved in this vision. They love planting flowers for the bees. They want to help nurture the gardens, care for the land, and participate in building something meaningful for their families and their future. There is joy in watching children place seeds into the earth with hope in their hands.
This is not just agriculture. This is economic empowerment. This is food security. This is school fees. This is meals for families. This is dignity. This is community.
Bee for Change is helping women create sustainable income through bee cultivation and land stewardship while strengthening the heart of the Sunburst Kenya community. Together, we are planting more than crops. We are planting resilience, belonging, and the possibility of a different future for children growing up in the shadow of HIV and poverty.
If you would like to support this work, every contribution helps us expand the bee cultivation program, support families, nourish children, and continue building this homestead into a place of healing and opportunity.
