Rarely has one small non-profit organization had such a broad and sustained impact on health in communities struggling with poverty as Hesperian Health Guides, publisher of Where There Is No Doctor, as well as resources on disabilities, women's health, worker health and safety, environmental health, and community education. Our print and digital materials are used in 222 countries and territories

around the world by community health workers, Peace Corps volunteers, missionaries, teachers, health educators, health agencies, community organizers, and everyday people in low-resource settings. Through our open copyright approach, we support governmental, NGO, and community-based partner organizations around the world to create localized, translated editions of our materials to magnify access to essential health information. There are now 264 print editions of Hesperian’s publications available in 84 languages with over 6 million copies currently in circulation; our mobile-friendly online content in 15 languages was accessed by over 5 million people in the last 12 months alone.
