The Berkeley Institute is a space and community for students and faculty to work out how their intellectual pursuits and religious commitments can be mutually enriching. Through mentorship, workshops, community, and on-campus events, we support and encourage students and teachers who value and are striving to cultivate an intellectual life coextensive with moral and religious commitments. We help

students engage the classical, philosophical, religious, and particularly Christian traditions that have provided models for the cultivation of the inner life and for intellectual development that doesn’t come at the expense of the soul.
