This World Sight Day we want to take a moment to celebrate 10 Years of Sight with Hospital de La Familia.

Our Centro Oftalmológico for the last decade has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of vision care to patients. Help us continue to support the life-changing work of our local and visiting medical care professionals.

Hospital de la Familia opened its doors in 1976 on a mission to deliver life-changing care in rural Guatemala. 50 years later, that mission lives on.

On September 19th, we’re gathering to celebrate this work and raising funds to secure its future.

Join our concert-style fundraiser featuring Grammy award winner, Gaby Moreno. It will be an unforgettable night of music, community, and compassion.

Hola hola! Calling all HdlFF team leaders and members past and present…

We need your team photos! As we finalize our 50th anniversary documentary for our fundraiser on September 19th, we realized we desperately need team photos.

If you or someone you know traveled to HdlF in the 80’s, 90’s, early 2000’s, and have some good group photos of teams (see examples), please scan and send them to [email protected] as soon as you can. Rooftop photos are great.

They need to be in a jpeg or png format, along with the team leader name and approximate year. Thanks in advance and please reach out to us if you have questions. We will post the video when it is completed.

Join local healthcare teams at Hospital de la Familia to support prenatal care, women’s health services, and community health education in rural Guatemala.

We’re seeking physicians, CNMs, NPs, PAs, nurses, residents, students, and others with an interest in maternal-child health, primary care, or global health.

✔ 5–6 day volunteer trips
✔ Work alongside local providers, nurses, social workers, and comadronas
✔ Housing, meals, and in-country transportation provided
