Student Environmental Resource Center - SERC at UC Berkeley The Student Environmental Resource Center is located in bNorth of Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union building at UC Berkeley.

SERC's OBJECTIVES:

To provide institutional memory and leadership transition support for student orgs, projects, and initiatives
To cultivate space for civil discourse and the expression of diverse opinions
To engage students in applied and active education
To create a collaborative working space
To provide advising, financial, and leadership development resources to students
To offer educational

The Climate Emergency Mobilization Task Force & East Bay Regional Park District with cosponsors Student Environmental Resource Center Nature Education Wellness Together (SERC NEWT) & United Nations Association EB invites you to join us for a family friendly and fun bioblitz nature walk at Tilden Nature Area. Be a part of a community bioblitz to capture a snapshot of Tilden’s biodiversity.

At the BIOBLITZ we will:

🍃Find, identify, and record life on a walk to Jewel Lake.
🍄Use the iNaturalist mobile app to record our observations of the area’s wildlife, plants, and more!

Be sure to wear comfortable layers, sturdy shoes, sun protection, bring water and a fully charged mobile device or camera! Get a head start and download the iNaturalist app to your phone and make a free account prior to arriving.

Open to all levels of learners. Children 8+ welcome with parent (guardian) participation required.
Meet at the Tilden Nature Area Environmental Nature Center, 1500 Central Park Dr, Berkeley, CA 94708 at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 20! UC Berkeley students can sign up to carpool with SERC NEWT using the link in bio! Limited spots available!

🪡Seeking Crafters, Makers, and Sewists of Berkeley!🧵

Are you a passionate maker who is interested in leveling up your sewing skills while supporting our local Berkeley Community? Apply to join our Inaugural Community Threads Student Training Program!

During the Fall 2025 semester, students will be selected to participate in a paid, sewing, mending and alternation training program, where they will gain valuable mending and sewing skills under professional guidance. In the Spring 2026 semester, students will be able to utilize those skills in service of community, offering free clothing repair services to the Berkeley community through public events.
