Tailgate at Bowles this Saturday!

Washington State vs Cal
Saturday, November 11

11 am - 12:30 pm Tailgate
1 pm Kickoff

Parents, alumni, and friends of Bowles Hall! Join us for our world-famous football pregame tailgate before the Bears take on WSU this Saturday!

Tailgate: Traditional Bowles tailgate food will be provided including BBQ sausages and burgers plus plenty of veggie options and refreshments. There is no charge, but donations are appreciated. A “Donations” cup will be available at the tailgate.

Game: Those not attending the game are still welcome to the tailgate. Enjoy mingling with Bowles students and alumni!

Parking: A bit of planning is required, but we think it's worth it! The Bowles Hall parking lot and Maxwell field are reserved for football parking permit holders. Cal highly recommends public transportation, and Game Day shuttles offer transportation to the Memorial Stadium from Downtown Berkeley BART station and nearby campus locations. Parents, alumni, and friends of Bowles Hall! Homecoming & Parents Weekend is upon us! Join us for our world-famous football pregame tailgate before the Bears take on the Washington State Cougars this Saturday!

Tailgate: BBQ sausages and burgers plus plenty of other veggie options and refreshments will be available. There is no charge but donations are appreciated. A “Donations” cup will be available at the BBQ.

Game: Those not attending the game are still welcome to the tailgate, but please read below about COVID precautions. Enjoy the warm weather and mingle with students!

Parking: A bit of planning is required, but we think it's worth it! The Bowles Hall parking lot and Maxwell field are reserved for football parking permit holders. COVID Protocol: In order to keep our community safe, proof of vaccination will be required before entry onto the Bowles courtyard, and masks will be required when not eating. Please be sure to be escorted by a current resident if you would like to go inside to use the restroom or see your student's room. Thank you!

Come Tailgate at the newly restored Bowles Hall before the first home game. Relax with former and current Bowles residents in the historic common areas. Join us after the game on the hill for the traditional singing of the Bowles Hall Drinking Song with the Cal Band.

Time: 3-6:30pm, and the post-game singing with the CAL Band on the Bowles Hill.
No RSVP necessary

Parking: The Bowles Hall parking lot and Maxwell field are reserved for football parking permit holders. UC indicates that on game days, public transportation is highly recommended. Game day shuttles offer transportation to the Memorial Stadium from Downtown Berkeley BART station and nearby campus locations

Feel free to bring your own tailgates. We have several picnic tables on the Bowles property. A BBQ (Burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc) will be prepared by our kitchen for $11 dollars (no cash, credit card please).

For those that would like to attend the festivities, but do not have a ticket, the game will be shown on the big screen TV at Bowles in the Newman Dinning Commons.
