La Peña 2nd Generation La Peña's 2nd Generation of Social Activists We're part of a committee that has three major tenets to the work we do:

1.

Organize and host various events in La Peña's lounge.
2. Assist in increasing the youth base of volunteers and patrons, raising awareness about La Peña's activities beginning at the grassroots level and actively engaging in social activism.

Hello folks please bring children and families out for this awesome Teach-in on MLK day, before the Oakland Reclaim MLK march (organized by the Anti-Police Terror Project). Kids and families will be leading the march, in a protected contigent, providing a safe space for young activists to participate in the Action. Over 10,000 people expected to attend this Reclaim MLK day march! Come out in Solidarity!
