This.
We live in a complex and conflicted era, and the frenzy around and within us can become so disorienting that it’s easy to lose our way.
That’s why I'm grateful for every reminder to seek times of simplicity, silence, and attentiveness that allow the inner turmoil settle and help us recover our right minds.
Here’s such a reminder from the late, great Mary Oliver, who points us toward the “doorway into thanks, and a silence in which another voice may speak."
Memo to Self: Be on the lookout for that door. When you find it, walk through it!
