On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Rotary District 5160 PDG Claire Sammon Roberts came to our club meeting and presented us with a district grant check for $15,000!

This grant will support the City Trees Project that BRC President Ed Church is organizing with the district's BARSHEEP clubs.

Claire noted that the grant represents our donations to The Rotary Foundation being returned to the district to support local projects.

Thank you, Claire, for bringing the good news!

September brought a lively mix of ideas and perspectives to Berkeley Rotary.

Big thanks to Mark Baldassarre (Public Policy Institute of California), Jeremy Geffen (Cal Performances), Jennie Durant, Darren C. Zook (UC Berkeley), and Arlie Russell Hochschild for sharing their time and expertise, and to our teams who helped make these programs possible.
