Spiral Gardens Community Food Security Project Spiral Gardens is a urban gardening nonprofit with a retail nursery specializing in food starts, herb

Spiral Gardens exists to improve community health and sustainability by providing direct access to nutritious, affordable, organic produce, promoting a strong local food system, and encouraging productive use of urban soil. Through our programs you can: 1) grow food with us, 2) grow food at your own home, and 3) participate in free education

Spiral Gardens strives to model and enable a healthy alternative to our current food economy. For almost three decades we have been part of the ever growing movement to recreate a resilient and decentralized food system that ties people directly to their sources of sustenance and is proof against economic fluctuations and conglomeration of the food system.

For some reason we have an abundance of the sacred Rue plant….. I’m thinking that we should all be growing this plant right now. Why? Well, besides the ample medicinal benefits…look ‘em up….. it is particularly useful for warding off negativity and stagnation. You can plant it outside in a pot or the ground near the entrance of your living area for added protection and inspiration. Doesn’t need much water and grows very well in most conditions except snow. So grateful for all the plants and the beautiful ways they teach, heal and protect us. Come make a new old friend🌿💚
