WI.F.E. promotes the empowerment of women through education. Vision
The Women’s International Fund for Education’s long-term vision is to alleviate poverty through the education and empowerment of women. The Women’s International Fund for Education will help women in developing countries go to school by providing financial support and career development and mentorship. Through frequent newsletters

and the option to personally connect with the young women recipients The Women’s International Fund for Education will build cross-cultural awareness, relationships between donors, and recipients. History
The Women’s International Fund for Education is a start up organization currently seeking non-profit status. WIFE was founded in the late summer/early fall of 2010, by a board member after returning home from living in the Philippines. Since our founding WIFE has grown various spheres, developed a scholarship application and collaborated with organizations abroad. WIFE plans to achieve non-profit status by Fall 2012. Once WIFE is an established 501(C)3 we will begin establishing the scholarship fund and outreaching to potential scholarship candidates in the Philippines and Tanzania.

1. Educated girls are more likely to become leaders.
2. Educated women invest back into their families and communities.
3. Education creates opportunity that lasts a lifetime.

You can help make that impact possible by donating and/or sharing this post.

This Giving Tuesday consider a donation that will change the lives of women worldwide like Hilda!

Hilda Yesica Chura Mamani is from the remote community of Accha Alta, which is known for its weaving tradition and ancient Inca ruins. She is in her first semester of accounting at Khipu Institute, and she dreams of using her degree to promote economic development in her community. During high school, she served as the president of her community’s youth weaving association, and she is particularly interested in using her accounting skills to help fellow weavers sell their products at a fair price to tourists. She is proud of her heritage and is often modeling her community’s traditional outfit or speaking her native language, Quechua.

Through donations like yours, she is attending college this year and working to strengthen her community. Your gift goes so far!
