June is PTSD Awareness Month.

PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed trauma. It may show up as anxiety, nightmares, flashbacks, feeling on edge, avoiding reminders, or feeling disconnected from others. Healing is possible, and support is available. No one should have to navigate trauma alone.

During Women’s Health Month and Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re making space for a conversation that is too often kept quiet.

Behind the expectations of motherhood and caregiving, many women are carrying stress, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, and exhaustion. According to the World Health Organization, about 13% of women who have just given birth experience mental health struggles.

Maternal mental health challenges are common, and support should never feel out of reach.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and today, April 10, is Alcohol Screening Day.

Our relationship with alcohol can be shaped by many things, including stress, anxiety, and depression. While alcohol may sometimes seem like a way to cope, it can also make emotional struggles more difficult over time. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism reports that about 10% of the U.S. population is affected by alcohol use disorder.

A gentle check-in with yourself, or with someone you care about, can be a meaningful first step. A quick and confidential screening may help bring clarity and point toward support if it is needed.
