BATRCS is a nonprofit serving the local Bay Area community using evidence-based psychotherapies to treat the fallout of trauma. Traumatic experiences such as physical and sexual assault, natural disasters, domestic violence, and childhood violence and neglect can have long-lasting impacts. More recently, COVID-19 has left many facing serious illness or death and overwhelmed front-line healthcare workers with heartbreaking losses.

Rates of anxiety, depression, and PTSD are unusually high in our current climate. These conditions don’t just affect the individual—they negatively impact families and communities. Many of the individuals impacted by these troubling times have limited financial resources. Without access to the low-fee, evidence-based services provided by BATRCS, many would be left to manage these debilitating problems unsupported.

We need your help.

We are asking you to make a donation to allow our nonprofit clinic to remain viable. We are able to offer a low fee to our clients due to the service of doctoral students who are learning EBPs and being supervised by several licensed psychologists. We collect program evaluation data and are thrilled to report that we are getting positive outcomes, with clients recovering from their traumatic event(s) and returning to full lives.

Our fees are based on the client’s income. This means that most people we serve are paying about $25 per session, about a tenth of the standard therapy rate in the Bay Area. We are happy to keep the fees low so that those who cannot afford psychotherapy can receive these important services and recover from their trauma, but the fees do not come close to covering our costs. We rely on the generosity of donors to ensure we can keep providing this essential service to the communities who need it the most.

Any amount counts. Please donate now by clicking the Donate button on this page.

Your donation will support the basic operations of the clinic including supplies, maintenance of the office space/building, administrative and supervision costs. Importantly, it will serve those who need it most. Please donate now and help those suffering from the fallout of trauma recover.
