Do you have a piece of art, crafts, photos, produce or more to submit, please submit your entries.
This family-friendly day will feature:
🌻 Local vendors, civic groups & youth organizations
🎨 Community exhibits at the Ice House (submit your art, crafts, photos, produce & more!)
👩‍🌾 Morgan County Master Gardeners, 4-H, CEOS Clubs, and tons of fun hands-on activities
🎈 Activities for kids, educational demos, and a true showcase of our county’s talent!
📣 Interested in setting up a booth?
✔️ Nonprofits = FREE
✔️ Business Vendor = $25 early-bird July 31/$30 for all others.
(And yes, donations are always appreciated to help support this all-volunteer-run event!)

WOW, Morgan County—you really showed up and showed off! 😍

We’ve been walking around the MAC Ice House with hearts full and jaws on the floor, totally blown away by the amazing entries at this year’s Morgan County Expo. From garden goodies to gorgeous baked treats, clever crafts to charming collections (yes, there was literally a collection of live chickens and roosters 🐓💖), the talent on display is just incredible!

🎉 Huge CONGRATS to all of the winners—we see those ribbons and we are so proud! But honestly a giant thank you goes out to everyone who entered something. Whether you stitched it, baked it, built it, grew it, or showed it off just for fun, you made the Expo something seriously special.

We saw hand-sewn masterpieces, cakes that deserve their own fan clubs, heirloom vegetables that would make your grandma cry, and SO many delightful surprises that made us go “wait… they entered what?!?” 😄 Morgan County is full of creativity, heart, and just the right amount of quirk—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

🍉 💦🍉 WATER you even doing if you missed the Watermelon Eating Contest at the Morgan County Expo?!

It was juicy.
It was intense.
It was... absolutely HILARIOUS.

Spectators were cheering, seeds were flying, and the watermelon didn’t stand a chance. 😆

🏆 Jude Strouse absolutely devoured the competition in the first round (we blinked and it was GONE).
🏆 And in the 9–11 age round, Lyric Gildowan took the crown with style, speed, and what looks like a tiny bit of regret. 😆 😎🍉

Whether you were slurping up slices or just enjoying the splash zone from a safe distance, it was one of those Expo moments that you had to see to believe. Who’s signing up next year??

The Expo goes until 3 today with a lot more fun and games, we hope to see you there! 🍉 💦🍉

🎉 It’s Expo Eve in Morgan County and we're all so excited!

The exhibits are set, the cakes are looking outrageously amazing, and all that’s missing is you! Tomorrow (that’s Saturday, July 26th), from 10am–3pm, come hang out with us at the MAC Ice House and Berkeley Springs State Park for a day full of fun, friends, and local flavor.

Here’s what’s happening:
📻 Cool 92.9 WXDC will be broadcasting live from 10–12
🍉 The Watermelon Eating Contest kicks off at 11:30 - come hungry, leave sticky!
🎶 Live music from The Clovers, The BlackCat Village Band, and Mike & Conner from 12–2:45
🎂 Cake Auction at 2pm at The Ice House to support 4H - seriously, the cakes are stunning!
🍀 Morgan County, WV 4-H exhibits on display at Hunter's Hardware - Berkeley Springs, WV, don’t miss these awesome youth projects!
💦 And FREE swimming at the Berkeley Springs State Park pool—just swing by the WVU Morgan County Extension Service Booth for a ticket!

Whether you're in it for the watermelon, the tunes, the cake, or just to enjoy the energy, it’s going to be a great day in Berkeley Springs, WV. Bring your friends, your family, and that neighbor you keep meaning to hang out with, ;) and celebrate all the amazing people, plants, projects, and pies (or cakes!) that make Morgan County awesome.

The Morgan County Expo is coming up, and we want to see what you’ve been growing! Whether you’ve got a houseplant you talk to every morning, a tomato that defies gravity, or the quirkiest-looking cucumber on the planet, now’s your chance to show it off.

🌱 The Horticulture category is open for FREE entries, and includes:
• Houseplants
• Herbs
• Flowers & flower arrangements
• Vegetables & fruits
• Unusual or funky produce
• And the ever-popular Tallest W**d (no brambles, please!)

✨ Pre-registration ends TOMORROW—Thursday, July 18 at 3PM so don’t wait. Get signed up and let your garden pride take center stage.

EXPO Entries - Your Time to Shine! The Morgan County EXPO is coming July 26. Did you know this event has two-parts? The Berkeley Springs State Park will host local non-profits, vendors, a bounce house, and youth art in the park while the MAC Ice House will host open class entries and the 4-H project exhibits. Any Morgan county resident - young or old, full time or part time - can enter the open class entries. Do you have a great photo, pumpkin, raspberries, quilt, LEGO creation, recycled item, wreath, plant, collection or something else you have made in the last year and would like to show off and possibly win a ribbon? There is even a category called Wild and Wonderful that includes the tallest w**d! Entry forms are available at the Morgan County Extension Office or on Facebook at County Expo. Pre-registration is required - deadline is July 18. There is no charge to enter! Let's fill the room and show off the creativity of the people of Morgan County.

🥳 🌻 🥳 🌻 🥳 Save the Date – Morgan County Expo 2025!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Morgan County Expo is happening Saturday, July 26th from 10am to 3pm at Berkeley Springs State Park — and this year, we’ve got more fun, more exhibits, and a whole lot more community spirit packed into one sunshine-filled day.

First things first – this is the brand-new, official Morgan County Expo page! Give it a like, share it with your friends, and keep an eye out — we’ll be posting all the info you need about how to get involved, what’s happening, and how to register your famous flower arrangement or unnaturally large squash.

Now, let’s talk about the good stuff. This year’s Expo is going to have a little something for everyone: bouncy house for the kiddos, free swimming at the pool, a watermelon eating contest (bring napkins and leave your dignity at home), and tons of exhibits and demonstrations. Want to show off your photography? Got a wreath that deserves attention? Think your tomato could win “largest in the land”? We’ve got a category for that — and more.

We’re also looking for vendors, artists, crafters, small businesses, and community groups to join us in the park! Set up a table or a tent and connect with folks. It’s just $25 for vendors, and nonprofits can participate for free. Proceeds help keep the Expo going strong — this is a 100% volunteer-run event, built by people who love this community.

Inside the MAC Ice House, we’ll have our exhibit displays, highlighting the amazing talent, hobbies, and creativity of Morgan County and beyond. You’ll also get to see youth groups like 4-H, the Master Gardeners, and CEOS showing off what they’ve been working on — and we bet you’ll leave inspired.
