Had a couple guys tonight shooting Damascus black powder cartridge sh****ns well over 100 years old. Hats off to them for being able to hit doubles through all that smoke and fire. The videos don't do it justice of the thunderous boom those sh****ns make. Really cool to watch.

Want to clarify our schedule at the club. There has been some confusion lately.
We are open year round on Thursdays starting at 2pm till about 7ish and the only reason we might be closed would be in the event of extreme weather events.
As far as Sundays go, they are seasonal. We open the last two Sundays of each month from April till September. Due to dog trial events from October to March being ran on the fields, we are unable to be open, UNLESS, one of the last 2 Sundays of each month in the fall/winter are open on the WMA schedule, then we can have a Sunday shoot. We basically go out there early sunday morning and see if dog trials are there, if they are not, we will post on here that we will open up at 2pm that particular day.
We posted a schedule of the reservations of dog clubs last week to show the Sundays the schedule is open. This is a tentative schedule for the fall/winter meets and during those times, the dog trials come first and we are not allowed to be open if they(the dog clubs) are having an event.
Once again, this in no way effects our Thursday operations which is reserved year round for the s***t club.
Sorry for any confusion and I hope this explains our year round shooting on Thursdays and how part of the year we share our sunday activities with other WMA events. Feel free to call/message us if you have any questions.

No dog trials are going on this morning, so we will be there starting at 2pm today. Hope to see you there

Please find attached the 2026-2027 Field Trial Schedule - Miller Welch WMA

Please note that shooting is not permitted on field trial days. I have highlighted the weekends when shooting is allowed, though please keep in mind that these dates are subject to change. Additionally, if field trials are actively taking place when we arrive, shooting will not be allowed.

Thank you!

A group of us went to Pine Grove sporting clays range today in Jackson co. Great place to shoot and a beautiful day for it.
