Berea College Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter The Berea College Campus Chapter partners with local organizations to provide adequate housing.

The Berea College Collegiate Chapter of Habitat for Humanity works with the local Habitat International Affiliate to serve residents in Madison and Clark counties. Each Saturday the program organizes home-improvement projects, volunteers for the local Habitat Re-Store, or workers for the Rent-A-Worker program. Students also participate annually in the Habitat International Collegiate Challenge, wh

ich serves as an alternative Spring Break. Recent destinations include Pennsylvania, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Alabama. Through the work of Habitat for Humanity International, thousand of low-income families have found hope through affordable housing. Another amazing experience with the Berea College Habitat team and volunteers as we joined forces with Sea Island Habitat in South Carolina for the collegiate challenge! From laying sub-flooring during workdays to uncovering the rich history of Charleston in our free time, it was a truly rewarding and eye-opening opportunity!!!

Hello friends! It's been awhile since we've posted and we have a couple of updates.

Saturday, Feb. 24th, the Habitat team and volunteers traveled to the Restore in Richmond to decorate the window with a combination of Easter and St. Patrick's day art.

The Habitat team and 8 amazing volunteers went on a mission to revamp the Madison and Clark Habitat affiliate’s office in an effort to make it a more organized and clean space! From cleaning to painting and organizing, we've created a fresh and inspiring workspace. Thanks to our incredible team of dedicated volunteers, the Habitat office is now ready for new adventures!

Students from Berea College and Eastern Kentucky University joined forces to take part in the Rock the Block event. This exciting two-day opportunity aims to contribute to the home repair and neighborhood beautification of the communities where Habitat builds homes. We worked on porch repair and deconstruction.

Welcome back, Habitat for Humanity Team. We are excited to kick off the new semester with all of you and our many volunteers who have shown interest in working with us this semester. If you are a potential volunteer, mark your calendar for the mandatory Habitat for Humanity training on September 13 OR 15 at 4pm - 5pm, located in Stephenson Hall on the 2nd Floor.

Thank you for contributing your time to work towards making changes in our community. Let's come together again to build homes and forge meaningful connections – within and beyond the build site. Welcome back to a semester of purposeful impact!

Happy first day of Spring! The Habitat team hopes you are all doing amazing, and that you are finishing this semester strong.

Before Spring break, Habitat collaborated with the Madison County Public Library for the Home Repair DIY Mini-Festival. The event went well, and here are some photos showcasing some of the tables at the event.
