The City of Berea, along with the Berea City School District and local volunteers, have transformed the vacant land where the Riveredge School used to be (228 Emerson Ave - Behind Dora Lee Ball Field - Berea, Ohio 44017) into an agricultural project that will use organic farming and sustainability practices. The goals of the Berea Community Learning Farm are three-fold:
-to educate the citizens o
f Berea about nutrition, agriculture and how to grow organic foods
-to educate school-age children in the Berea City School District about plant biology, agriculture and nutrition
-to assist low-income residents in establishing home gardens enhancing their nutrition and health.
