We’re excited to share that our Executive Director, Shaniqua Robinson, was recently featured on the podcast What I Really Want to Talk About, hosted by Tim Monroe.

On this episode, Shaniqua reflects on identity, storytelling, and what it means to claim Appalachian roots as a Black woman from Kentucky. Through the story of her grandmother and the traditions passed down through generations, she shares a deeply personal journey of connection, memory, and reclamation.

This conversation speaks to the heart of our work at ATBHK, lifting up stories that have too often been left out and making space for a fuller understanding of Kentucky’s diverse history and cultures.

We invite you to listen, reflect, and share with others.
