The Tom Madzy 5K & Dog Walk is powered by the community, for the community! Every dollar raised goes directly toward paying mandatory sports participation fees for student-athletes in the Berea-Midpark City School District, ensuring no local student gets left on the sidelines.

In this episode, we break down all the incredible ways local businesses, organizations, families, and individuals can get involved as sponsors for this year’s event on Sunday, September 27th at the Roehm Athletic Center.

👕 Race Shirt Sponsorships (Deadline: September 15th)

With approximately 300 race shirts printed annually, this is an evergreen promotional opportunity! While the Premier Level is SOLD OUT thanks to American International Construction, three high-visibility levels remain:

Titan Level ($300): Extra-large logo on prime shirt space, featured social media posts, and an event promo table.

Thunder Level ($200): Logo screen-printed on the shirt plus dedicated thank-you posts across socials.

Lightning Level ($100): Business or group name screen-printed on the race shirt.

🚩 Family & Individual Banner Sponsorships (Deadline: September 11th)

Sponsor our 2x4 ft. color display banner on Lou Groza Field!

For a $25+ donation, put your student-athlete’s name, graduating class, pet’s name, or a motivational quote on the banner.

At Berea City Schools, every student receives free breakfast and lunch through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), ensuring no child goes hungry during the school day.

But learning and growth don't stop when the final bell rings. For many students, sports are where they build confidence, discipline, and lifelong friendships. However, pay-to-participate athletic fees can present a real hurdle for families already stretching every dollar.

That’s where the Tom Madzy Athletic Fund steps in.

It's National Dog Day, you know what that means ... time to look at past puppy participants!

To celebrate our favorite four-legged training partners, we are throwing it WAY back to this handsome, sturdy bulldog mix who stole the show at the 2012 Tom Madzy 5K & Dog Walk! Look at that noble, game-face mug ... pure champion energy!

Dogs have always been the heart and soul of our event, whether they’re setting the pace in the 5K or taking a stroll on the 1-mile walk path.
