Dads of NWA

Dads of NWA Welcome to Dads of NWA a place where we can share stories, recipes, parenting tips, ask for advice, and most importantly pictures of our lawns.

This group is all about dads helping dads.

Dads of NWA family,

We recently learned that the cuddle cot at Mercy Hospital is no longer working as intended and needs to be replaced.

For those unfamiliar, a cuddle cot is used when families experience the unimaginable loss of a newborn. It allows parents and loved ones additional time with their baby, time that is incredibly meaningful during an otherwise heartbreaking moment.

The cost to replace the cuddle cot is $3,000. Our nonprofit will be gifting these funds to Chandler and Paisley Skies, the organization that coordinates the purchasing and distribution of cuddle cots across the country. This nonprofit was started by one of our very own dad and group admin Dusty Hurst, which makes this effort especially close to home.

If you feel led to donate and help us make this happen, you can contribute in any of the following ways:

• PayPal: [email protected]
• Venmo:
• Cash App: $jrocko3
• Signature Bank: Any branch – Dads of NWA account

Thank you for continuing to show up for families in our community when it matters most. 💙

*Note: If we surpass our goal, all funds will be given to Chandler & Paisley Skies to purchase additional Cuddle Cots

Since 2021, Keaton Lawson has been a dad in this group. He went to work one day and was hit by a car in Bella Vista. A daughter lost her father and a community lost a great man. If you have a second, please say a prayer. I’ll be reaching out to the family to see if the dads can help sponsor their Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the meantime here is the GoFundMe.

Dads, every year we gear up to help with holiday meals for our community. One of our local dads and sponsor (for many years), Devin Lyles, has a local non profit Ozark Mountan Wrestling.

This November they want to make Dads of NWA the primary beneficiary of their show on November 15th. We need your help!

There will be a silent auction the day of the event as well as a raffle. Any business owners that would like to donate an item (happy to provide a tax receipt) for our silent auction we would be glad to take it.

All funds from this event will go towards helping with Thanksgiving Meals for dads in need. (Every year we help feed dozens of dads and their family!)

Be sure to grab a ticket, it will be a blast!n g

Supporting a Fellow Dad in Need: Francisco Torres' Story

In 2024, Northwest Arkansas faced several devastating tornadoes, bringing pain and hardship to our community. During this challenging time, many dads stepped up, volunteering countless hours to clear roads, repair homes, and restore yards. Among these selfless individuals was Francisco Torres.

Francisco, a recent transplant to the area, jumped right in to give back to our community. He tirelessly devoted days and weeks to helping families affected by the storms, making a difference when it was needed most.

Now, Francisco and his family need our help. His wife recently underwent brain surgery, leaving her unable to walk and facing difficulties with talking and eating. While we pray for her recovery through physical, occupational, and speech therapy, Francisco has taken on the role of primary caregiver, all while managing his household.

This situation has put a significant strain on their family, and they need support. Can we rally together as a community of dads to help? Whether it's donating to their GoFundMe, organizing a meal train, or offering prayers, every contribution will make a difference.

Francisco has given so much to our community—let’s come together to give back to him.

Thank you for anything you can do to help!

Did you know we provided meals and gifts to over 100 dads and their families this Christmas season?

We wanted to take a second to recognize Devin Lyles with Cornerstone Business Solutions, LLC. Not only is he a pretty active dad in the group, he’s no stranger to donating. Devin previously donated $1,000 to the 1st Annual Dads Campout. When he found out we were doing a Christmas Meal and Gift drive he sponsored several families with his donation of $2,500.

Cornerstone Business Solutions is a sales, product development and analytics brokerage who helps develop or grow brands at Walmart and Sam's Club. You have probably seen or purchased several of his products that he represents at the local grocery store from coffee to sausage. Thank You Devin for all you do for this group and our community.

Did you know that since COVID our community of dads have sponsored hundreds of families with holiday meals and Christmas gifts? It’s one of the very reasons we became a 501c3 nonprofit. This year was no different; however, we wanted to take a moment to recognize one of our dads, Agustin Olivarez, the owner of the El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant in Centerton.

Agustin reached out last week and asked how many families were remaining on our Christmas Meal and Gift list. Without hesitation, he sponsored the nearly dozen families remaining. We are blessed to have an amazing community that include dads like Agustin in it.

If you get a chance stop by the El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant in Centerton (300 E Centerton Blvd, Centerton, AR 72719) and be sure to try out some of their amazing dishes!
